It’s that time of the year again!
I’m sure you’ve kicked up a lot of old junk from your spring cleaning that you’d rather get rid of. Thankfully, Our Spring Cleanup is right around the corner!
The Spring Cleanup will take place every weekend in April except for Easter weekend, at the McAlester Recycling Center. This service is free to everyone who lives within city limits. Remember to bring a water bill or some document to prove you have a city address.
If you have tires, scrap metal, electronics, and any other bulk trash you need to get rid of, be sure to mark your calendars. Household hazardous waste, prescription drugs, and paper shredding will be accepted on the 25th.
If you don’t have anything to get rid of but would like to support the event, please consider volunteering! This is a big collection event, so we need all the hands we can get.
